Perpetual Groove guitarist Brock Butler sat in with moe. at Black Mountain, NC’s Pisgah Brewing Company on Friday night. Butler emerged during moe.‘s second set to play guitar on an extended version of “Moth.” Butler has focused mostly on acoustic and stripped-down music since Perpetual Groove went on hiatus in April. He also opened Friday’s set with a short solo segment featuring songs like “Chevy Express,” “Anything Less Than Dearly,” “Weather and the Wait” and “Song for Zula,” among others. Ellie Schwartz sat in on the latter song.

moe. will perform at Kalamazoo, MI’s Bell’s Eccentric Cafe this evening. Butler will celebrate Independence Day with a July 4th show at Charleston, SC’s Pour House.
