The Rolling Stones’ touring saxophonist and keyboardist Tim Reis will take a quick break from the band’s current tour to perform with “The Rolling Stones Project” at the Lyric Theatre in London tonight.

The Rolling Stones Project features Reis’s self-produced jazz renderings of classic Rolling Stones tunes. He released a “Stones Project” album in 2005 with the help a variety of musicians, including some of the Stones. In addition to Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ron Wood, Reis has also recorded with vocalists Sheryl Crow, Lisa Fischer, Norah Jones, Luciana Souza, jazz guitarists Bill Frisell and John Scofield, and keyboardist Larry Goldings.

Tonight’s show will feature Reis, along with touring Stones members Bernard Fowler, Darryl Jones and Chuck Leavell. Several unannounced guests are also slated to join Reis for the first Rolling Stones Project performance in London since 2007.
