Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers and Railroad Earth are currently four dates into a co-headlining tour. Last night, the two bands appeared at Paso Robles, CA’s Vina Robles Amphitheatre and collaborated for the first time this run. Hornsby and Railroad Earth will switch closing duties throughout the run and, last night, Railroad Earth kicked things off. At the end of the Americana band’s set, Hornsby emerged to play grand piano on “Elko” and “Long Way To Go.”

The members of Railroad Earth returned the favor during Hornsby’s set. Fiddler Tim Carbone and John Skehan sat in on “Tropical Cashmere Sweater” and “Valley Road” while multi-instrumentalist Andy Goessling emerged for “Big Stick.”

The collaborative tour continues at San Diego, CA’s Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay this evening.
