Arcade Fire have confirmed the release date for their fourth studio album. In response to a fan’s tweet, the indie icons said,“Our new album will be out October 29th.” This is Arcade Fire’s first studio release since 2010’s The Suburbs.

LCD Soundsystem and DFA records founder James Murphy worked with the band on the album at his New York studio. (Arcade Fire’s production team was also involved in the project.) The indie collective have already played a few of their new songs live and the tunes are said to have a more dance, groove-oriented feel. An image of the band accompanied by a shot of Richard Buckminster’s Montreal Biosphère—when it was set ablaze—accompanied the tweet.
