John Frusciante to Release Outsides EP

John Frusciante will release his Outsides EP via Record Collection on August 27. The record will consist two abstract pieces, as well as a 10 minute guitar solo that Frusciante claims “gives new life to the long ago popularly discarded form of the extended rock guitar solo, and is also progressive synth pop, just the same.” Fans will also be able to download a bonus track called “Sol” if they pre-order the EP.

John Frusciante was the lead guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers from 1988-1992 and 1998-2009.

He put spark in the chili peppers after hillel’s death!! I got the opportunity to meet him a few times and was so nice!!! After he left the band they were meh!!! Hope this record is good. He has had plenty of time to work on it!! I still can’t believe he succomed to heroin after his hero hillel! But he did beat it!! He is a great guitar player!!! One of the best peppers shows with him is from Long Beach Arena 1989 mother’s milk tour. U can only find it on you tube and VHS they never released it on d.v.d. I was at that show in fact that was the first time I saw them!!! Great show! Good luck J.F. on your new record. I can only see him touring in California but we will see.

Any interest in the Chili Peppers I had went out the window when John left again. John is the real deal.
