Maria Muldaru, the singer best known for her 1974 hit “Midnight at the Oasis,” will ramble at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, NY on August 3. Despite the very 70s nature of her hit song, Muldaur’s other work has always focused American roots music, and the singer even got her start performing with a jug band in the early 60s. Her most recent album, 2011’s _Steady Love, is a contemporary electric blues album that she recorded in New Orleans.

Muldaur will join the Midnight Ramble Band for her performance at Levon Helm Studios. Tickets to the show are now on sale for $35-$65.

As previously reported, Little Feat’s Bill Payne will join the Midnight Ramble Band for a ramble at Levon Helm Studios on July 20, while for The Band guitarist Jim Weider will do the same on July 27.
