Plenty of special guests will be joining Bill Evans’ Soulgrass over the next two months. Steve Kimock, Jeff Pevar, Railroad Earth’s Tim Carbone, Umphrey’s McGee’s Jake Cinninger and Kris Myers, Gov’t Mule’s Danny Louis and The Allman Brothers Band’s Oteil Burbridge are slated to play with the group.

Kimock and Pevar will play with Soulgrass during their run at Seattle’s Jazz Alley, as well as their performance at the String Cheese Incident’s Horning’s Hideout festival. Louis will play with him for a few East Coast dates before Burbridge sits in with the band at The Peach Festival on August 16. Kimock and Carbone will then play with Soulgrass for a run of shows in September, while Cinninger and Myers will join them in Chicago on September 21 and 22.

In addition to the upcoming dates, Evans will also go solo as an “artist-at-large” for next weekend’s Gathering of the Vibes, as well as the next Jam Cruise in January 2014.
