Ryan Adams recently spent a few days recording punk rock songs with emo kings Fall Out Boy, according to Rolling Stone.
The strange-bedfellows recorded eight or nine songs over the course of two nights at Adams’ Pax-Am studios. Alt-country musician Butch Walker reportedly introduced Adams to Fall Out Boy.

“It was punk rock – the stuff that makes you want to kick the shit out of your bedroom at your parents’ house,” Wentz told the magazine. “It’s impossible to deny the spirit of what was happening there.”

It is unknown how or when the sessions will be released. Adams has recorded all sorts of material since moving to LA, from acoustic music to metal.
