Jeff Mattson and Rob Barraco to Play Terrapin Crossroads

Longtime collaborators and current Dark Star Orchestra member Jeff Mattson (vocals, guitar) and Rob Barraco (keyboards, vocals) will play three shows at Phil Lesh’s San Rafael, CA venue Terrapin Crossroads in August. On August 28, they will be play a free acoustic duo gig, on August 29 they will join Dark Star Orchestra drummer Rob Kotitz for an electric show, and on August 31 they will perform with Koritz and Keller Williams as The Head Band. Williams will play a solo set on Terrapin Crossroads on August 30.

Mattson and Barraco spent years performing together in The Zen Tricksters. In addition to his work with Barraco in Dark Star Orchestra, Mattson continues to perform with The Zen Tricksters and the Donna Jean Godchaux Band. Barraco also plays with Lesh and, on occasion, the classic Phil Lesh Quintet. Mattson and Barraco have also confirmed shows at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl (11/5) and Teaneck, NJ’s Mexicali Live (11/7).

This is great—I love Dark Star Orchestra and was there when they played at Terrapin Crossroads in April, and they just wailed! I am very excited about hearing Jeff and Rob play there with next month with Koritz and Keller too! Should be amazing.
