Meters drummer Zigaboo Modeliste has confirmed a handful of gigs. Most of the drummer’s upcoming shows are with his solo projects the New Aahkesstra or the Big Chiefs, though Zig will also play a few previously confirmed gigs with The Meter Men.

First up, Zigaboo Modeliste and the New Aahkesstra will open for Tea Leaf Green at Oakland, CA’s The New Parish tomorrow. The Meters co-founder will also head to Europe in September. As previously reported, The Meters have also reunited to play a track on Trombone Shorty’s forthcoming album.
