Tedeschi Trucks Band’s Mike Mattison Turns to Kickstarter

Tedeschi Trucks Band’s Mike Mattison has started a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to help him finish record, mix and master his new, currently untitled blues album. Mattison promises new songs, select covers and contributions from musician friends such as fellow TTB members Kofi Burbridge and Tyler Greenwell, as well as Scrapomatic bandmates Paul Olsen and Dave Yoke. The musician was hoping to raise $5000 and is close to reaching twice his goal. Among the pledge prizes includes a Scrapomatic performance in your house for a donation of $1500.

A big hullo from New Zealand in the South Pacific. First, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the enormous amount of pleasure your vocals have given me thus far. Secondly, nothing against Susan, but I miss your lead on the Tedeschi Trucks albums. I believe that you are a hugely gifted vocalist whose talent shouldn’t be denied the audience. (Bring back the DTB not to mention Scapomatic). all power to you Mike, and don’t stop singing and recording: EVER!
