Melvin Seals and JGB will headline the 11th annual Jerry Day at the Jerry Garcia Amphitheatre in McLaren in San Francisco. St Allen & Mars Hotel, Lonesome Locomotive and Garrin Benfield will also perform at the event, which is set to take place on August 4 from 11:30am to 6pm.
The Jerry Day celebration is presented by the Jerry Day Committee and the San Francisco Park Alliance. The goal of the event is to honor the life and music of Jerry Garcia, while also raising awareness about San Francisco’s Excelsior District.
Jerry Garcia was born on August 1, 1942. He would have been turning 71 this year.
