The three duets that Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury recorded together in 1983 will finally see the light of day this fall. The duo recorded the tunes—“There Must Be More to Life Than This,” “State of Shock” and “Victory”—at Jackson’s home studio in between sessions for his Thriller and Bad albums. There were hopes that the songs would become a part of a larger project, but it never came to fruition, and the tracks were finally cleared for release by the Jackson estate in 2011.

Queen guitarist Brian May has been working to get the tracks released for the past two years. He also confirmed that they would be available in the fall, though the date (and format) of the release has not been announced.
