If anyone told Foxygen singer Sam France to “break a leg” before last night’s performance, they probably feel pretty bad right now. The band was forced to cut their show at First Avenue in Minneapolis short last night after France slipped on a stage monitor and fell into a barricade in front of the stage.

France was taken to a hospital via ambulance following the accident, with the band tweeting “Sam is OK – he might have broken his leg. Show cancelled tonight. Updates on future shows coming soon…”

An earlier tweet also read “SORRY MINNEAPOLIS – we will make it up to you, we promise!!”

The band also announced today that they will be cancelling their Seattle and Vancouver shows as well. In addition, the group said that their upcoming performance at the Pickathon in Happy Valley, OR might still go on, though probably as a “subdued performance.” On a lighter note, the band has also tweeted, “on the bright side, Sam will probably have a cool cane or something.”
