Governors Ball Music Festival has completed its restoration of Randall’s Island Park’s event site. After enduring record rains, Governors Ball left Randall’s Island Park in muddy disarray, and the promoters promised to leave the park’s event site in better condition than it was before the June 7-9 event. In partnership with NYC Department of Parks and Randall’s Island Park Alliance, Governor’s Ball installed over 9 acres of Kentucky bluegrass sod and made capital improvements in order to prevent future flooding at the site.

This year’s Governor’s Ball featured headlining sets by Kings of Leon, Guns N Roses and Kanye West.
