White Denim have officially confirmed October 29 as the release date for their next studio album Corsicana Lemonade. As previously reported, the album features two songs and a full mix from Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy. “Pretty Green,” the first song from the 10-song collection, can be heard here.

White Denim will headline KGSR’s Blues on the Green in Austin, TX tonight. The band will also play their hometown Austin City Limits festival and tour the U.S. with Tame Impala this fall. Tickets are on sale now for the run, which will kick off at The Pageant in St. Louis, MO on October 8.

“It’s taken five records to make one that sounds the way we do onstage,” says James Petralli, vocalist/guitarist for White Denim.

The album marks the first time White Denim has worked with outside producers. As first reported by Relix, the members of White Denim spent time working at The Loft, Wilco’s Chicago headquarters/studio, and recorded a pair of tracks with Tweedy and his frequent production partner, Tom Schick (Rufus Wainwright, Ryan Adams). Upon returning to Austin, the band members built their own studio at a house on a cliff overlooking Lake Travis, where they recorded the remaining tracks with local music legend Jim Vollentine.

“We wheeled-in a bunch of crazy ’50s gear and played from noon until 2 a.m. every day until the album was done,” recalls Petralli. “We played live together, doing takes as a whole. Whatever sounded best was what we stuck with.”
