Galactic have extended their fall tour. The New Orleans funk band’s recently confirmed run of shows includes a stretch of Southeast dates in early November. These dates will take place right after Galactic celebrates Halloween at New Orleans’ renovated Civic Theatre on October 31. Indie/soul trio The Stepkids, who recently supported Galactic during their Brooklyn Bowl run, will open a few of Galactic’s November dates.

Galactic closed their four-night run at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl on Saturday night. The Revivalists’ David Shaw and New Orleans singer Maggie Koerner split vocal duties on both Friday and Saturday. In addition, on Saturday jazz fiddler Jonathan Russell sat in with Galactic on “Sunday Araq” and touring Galactic member Corey Henry brought out members of his extended family to play horns on “D-Boy.” Percussionist Mike Dillon also joined the band for the entirety of that show. The High & Mighty Brass Band, who opened Thursday night, also sat in with Galactic at the Bowl that evening.
