The Black Crowes returned to Wantagh, NY’s Jones Beach Ampitheatre on Saturday night as part of their co-headlining tour with Tedeschi Trucks Band. As has become customary, the members of Tedeschi Trucks Band joined The Black Crowes onstage during their encore. This time the entire band returned to the stage for a take on “Turn on Your Lovelight.” New York residents Joan Osborne and Tash Neal, who plays guitar in the evening’s opening act London Souls, also joined in on the song.

Members of The Black Crowes famously sat in with The Allman Brothers Band at Jones Beach the day Jerry Garcia died, just over 18 years to the day on August 9, 1995. The Black Crowes and Tedeschi Trucks Band’s co-headlining tour will continue at Indianapolis, IN’s Farm Bureau Insurance Lawn at White River tomorrow.
