Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey’s Chris Combs and Josh Raymer
have confirmed a series of dates with their new project Booomclap. Booomclap is an instrumental dance band that combines modern, hip hop inspired productions with jazz-rooted improvisation. On stage, the band’s conceptual force Chris Combs plays guitar, synth, and computer-controlled samples (often at the same time) while Josh Raymer holds down the drums.

The band’s upcoming dates include a run through Colorado and a series of shows in Oklahoma. Along the way, they will release a new mixtape and play shows with Mike Dillon, Earl Harvin and JFJO’s Brian Haas. Haas will spend the fall touring with his own piano-drums duo.
