Brooklyn, NY’s Turkuaz have confirmed some additional details regarding their upcoming residency at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl. As previously reported, the group will perform at the Bowl every Wednesday in September. Each show will feature special guest sit ins, support acts and $6 Jameson specials. In addition, on September 25, the band will celebrate the music of Joe Cocker’s Mad Dogs & Englishmen tour.

The band outlines its plans as follows:

Wednesday, 9/4 “Pre-Chill Bowl”: To prepare to rock out at Catskill Chill Music Festival the following weekend, Turkuaz has invited fellow Chillers Jimkata (song-oriented electro-rock) and Aqueous (genre-melting groove-rock) to play at this pre-party for the Chill. (Ticket Link)

Wednesday, 9/11: Reggae-rock powerhouse Spiritual Rez will be coming down from Boston to share the bill with Turkuaz. These two bands have shared the stage quite a few times and it has never been anything short of raucous.

Wednesday, 9/18: Turkuaz is proud to bring The Heavy Pets back to Brooklyn Bowl! The R&B / jazz-funk / reggae fusion jams of this Florida band are based on solid song craft and meant for dancing.

Wednesday, 9/25 “Mad Dogs Bowl”: To close the residency out with a bang, Turkuaz will recreate the magic of Joe Cocker’s Mad Dogs & Englishmen! Both a legendary tour and live album, Mad Dogs was all about big sound and amazing musicians, so there will be special sit-ins from members of Dopapod (experimental funk-rock) to make it an unforgettable experience. Turkuaz will also perform an original set to celebrate the re-release of their remastered self-titled debut album.

Turkuaz are also offering a special $30 four-night pass.
