Dr. Dog to Play Mercury Lounge Next Week
Philadelphia roots group Dr. Dog have announced a tiny New York show. On Tuesday, September 3, Dr. Dog will return to New York’s Mercury Lounge for an intimate gig while in the city for a few press obligations. Dr. Dog played Mercury Lounge many times early in their career and, despite moving on to bigger Manhattan venues like Terminal 5 and SummerStage, have returned to the club a few times to preview their latest batch of songs. This time the band will perform at the Merc in support of their new album B-Room. Click here for our recent site interview with the band.
Dr. Dog will perform at Kalamazoo, MI’s Wings Stadium on Saturday as part of the Audiotree Music Festival. They will also kick off a run of dates with The Lumineers at Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre on September 15. It will be their second support slot at Red Rocks this year. (The post-jam group opened for Umphrey’s McGee at the lauded venue this summer.)
