On Wednesday night at Sullivan Hall Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band kicked off their three night stand. For these shows Lesh is joined by his sons Grahame and Brian, along with guitarist Ross James and drummer Alex Koford. The quintet opened with “Bertha” during a set that included plenty of Grateful Dead material, covers (The Carter Family’s “Single Girl, Married Girl” and Bob Dylan’s “Mississippi”- which was juxtaposed with the Dead’s “Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodleloo”) and original songs from the Lesh sons’ groups American Jubilee and Midnight North. The Family Band appeared at Sullivan Hall for three nights this past June. The complete setlist appears below.
