A few months ago Keller Williams revealed that he would be releasing a new album called Funk with his new band, More Than A Little. Now we can finally confirm that the self-released record will be available on November 12.

Funk was recorded live during three gigs at the Norva in Norfolk, VA, The National in Richmond, VA and the Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte, NC. Williams’ new outfit, More Than A Little, features EJ Shaw on bass, Gerard Johnson on keys, Toby Fairchild on drums and Tonya Lazenby Jackson and Sugah Davis on backup vocals. The album consists of of four new Williams originals, as well as several interpretations of other tunes like Talking Heads’ “Once In a Lifetime,” Rick James’ “Mary Jane” and The Grateful Dead’s “West L.A. Fadeaway.”

In addition to the album release date, Williams has also announced his New Year’s Eve plans. He’ll kick off his end of the year run with two shows with More Than A Little before ringing in the New Year with a special show that will feature a solo set, a set with More Than A Little and a set with The Keels.
