Jim McCarty sat in with Gov’t Mule last night at The Fillmore in Detroit. The blues guitarist and Detroit native—who used to tour with Mitch Ryder, Buddy Miles and more—joined the band for their encore, which consisted of a take on Freddie King’s “Goin’ Down” and a rendition of Sonny Boy Williamson’s “Good Morning Little Schoolgirl” that was sandwiched within Albert King’s “The Hunter.”

Gov’t Mule will make their way to the House of Blues in Cleveland tonight before continuing with their extensive tour.
