Yonder Mountain String Band Announce Colorado Flood Relief Show

Yonder Mountain String Band will host a benefit show at the Boulder Theater in Boulder, CO on December 30, with 100% of the proceeds from the event going to help flood disaster victims in Colorado.

The band have also announced that they will be hosting a food and clothing drive during each night of their New Year’s Eve run at the same venue on December 27, 28, 29 and 31. More details on the December 30 benefit including ticketing information and other ways that fans can get involved will be released shortly.

As previously reported, Yonder Mountain String Band, Umphrey’s McGee and The String Cheese Incident all left December 30 open when they announced their Colorado NYE runs. Umphrey’s McGee recently confirmed that they will be playing a special Bil GrahUM show on that day, while the String Cheese Incident have not revealed their plans for December 30.

I knew that it was just a matter of time before these guys put together a benefit. Well done, gents. I used to call Estes Park home. Thank you.

YMSB, while sharing the same knuckle dragging promoter as Umfrys, is donating their entire proceeds on 12 / 30. How is Umfrys only giving 15 $ of a 200 $ ticket for flood relief. They have three large shows this run but are taking 50k more and giving 5k to flood relief. Are they scumbags or not doing well with ticket sales as usual.

@Amen
I hosted a fundraiser raffle this past weekend… Umphrey’s donated some awesome merch and we ended up raising $400 for a family in Lyons that got washed out. Umph did not advertise or use it to benefit themselves, they just gave because they knew it was for a good cause. Also, it will take a while for other bands to pull through since this is all so fresh. Pretty Lights has yet to announce any type of fundraising for his homestate….
