Leftover Salmon got some help from a few different friends last week as they swung through the Northeast.

On September 18, Leftover Salmon appeared at South Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground and Floodwood opened the night.
During Salmon’s set, Floodwood mandolinist Jason Barady sat in with the group on a cover of Guns N.’ Roses “Sweet Child of Mine,” as well as “Boogie.” Salmon’s Drew Emmitt, Vince Herman and Andy Thorn also joined Floodwood during their support set for “Hobo Song” and “Working On A Building.”

Leftover Salmon made their way to the Brooklyn Bowl the following night, where they were joined by Floyd King on saxophone for Gulf of Mexico. The band then stuck around the area the next day for a show at Port Chester, NY’s recently reopened Capitol Theatre. The show was a co-bill with the Infamous Stringdusters, whose dobro wiz Andy Hall sat in with Leftover for the majority of their set, which included a fan-requested “Pasta On The Mountain.” The Stringdusters’ Chris Pandolfi also took the stage with them for the final three songs of their performance, “Ain’t Gonna Work,” “Going Around The World” and “Blue Night.”

As previously reported, members of moe./Floodwood also sat in with with Leftover Salmon in Portland, ME on Tuesday, September 17.
