Neil Young made a stealth appearance last night at the first annual OceanElders Summit at the City Winery in New York City. The singer-songwriter took the stage during Pegi Young & The Survivors’ show for renditions of Bob Dylan’s “Blowin’ In The Wind” and Phil Ochs’ “Changes.” The $400-per-ticket fundraiser was billed as “A Call to Action” for OceanElders, an organization that works to protect, value and celebrate the ocean and its wildlife.

The brief show marks the second time that Young has played the Ochs tune, the first being his performance two days earlier at Farm Aid in Saratoga Springs, NY. A recap of this year’s Farm Aid can be found here.
