YouTube has announced that it will host the first ever YouTube Music Award on Sunday, November 3. The celebration will honor the artists and songs that YouTube fans have turned into global hits over the past year.

The YouTube Music Awards will feature performances by megastars like Eminem, Lady Gaga and Arcade Fire, as well as some of YouTube’s biggest acts like Lindsey Stirling and CDZA. There will also be musical events in Seoul, Moscow, London and Brazil, finally culminating in a live awards ceremony at Pier 36 in New York City.

Nominations for the awards will be announced on October 17 based on the videos that YouTube users watched and shared the most over the past year, and the winners will be determined by the number of shares across social media.

In addition, YouTube has enlisted acclaimed filmmaker and music video director Spike Jonze to be the event’s creative director.
