Next Umphrey’s Monday to Raise Money for Colorado Flood Victims

The next Umphrey’s Monday will take place at the Armoury in downtown Denver on October 14. The event will feature a screening of all three sets from Umphrey’s McGee’s December 31, 2012 New Year’s Eve show.

In addition to the concert film, there will also be a raffle to raise money for Colorado flood relief via the Colorado American Red Cross and Longmont Human Society. Prizes include two tickets to each night of Umphrey’s McGee’s NYE run at The Fillmore in Denver, two tickets to Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe’s Halloween show at the Fillmore, two tickets to Michal Menert at The Fillmore and two tickets to the upcoming PANTyRAiD show at the same venue. There will also be plenty of Umphrey’s merch, as well as fan-made pins and Umphrey’s McGee, STS9 and Disco Biscuits concert DVDs from Tour Gigs.

In related news, Umphrey’s McGee will also be contributing to River’s Rising: Front Range Flood Relief, a benefit compilation that will raise money for United Way Foothills. Widespread Panic, The String Cheese Incident, Yonder Mountain String Band, Railroad Earth, Leftover Salmon will also put songs on the release.

We are going to make the lions share of profit at the other “Special” monday show because we are only giving 7.5% of the total. We are banking the rest after cost. It will be a nice 50,000 dollar buffer as it were for said poor ticket sales for the Fillmore shows. There is a chance the first two Fillmore shows will be moved to the Ogden or a similar sized venue. If the Fillmore will be cool with the contracts, which is unlikely, we will get to see the ladies in a more UMphriendly environment. We should start an online petition to move the first two Fillmore shows to the Ogden and say it’s for flood relief or for lack of ticket sale relief!

UMondays- sorry you are unable to attend the private show or don’t have the means to hold your own fundraiser.
