Nora Guthrie and Bill Nowlin will be releasing a new album of Woody Guthrie music called Woody Guthrie: American Radical Patriot due out October 22 via Rounder Records.

The seven-CD box set will focus on Guthrie’s work with the U.S. Government, such as his songs about the building of the Grand Coulee Dam, cultural contributions for the Library of Congress and songs written for the U.S. Army during WWII.

In addition, the box will consist of the unedited “Library of Congress” recordings with Alan Lomax, the complete Columbia River recordings, a 78-rpm vinyl record featuring Bob Dylan, the “Roll On Columbia” documentary DVD and a 60-page booklet by Bill Nowlin.
