Steve Earle, Raul Malo (lead singer of The Mavericks), Teddy Thompson, Dana Fuchs and Joan Osborne will headline the Theatre Within’s 33rd Annual John Lennon Tribute Concert December 6 at Symphony Space in New York City.

Additional performers will include Marc Cohn, Toshi Reagon, Rich Pagano (of The Fab Faux), Bettye Lavette and The Buffers, an a capella group from Hamilton College. Lennon Tribute creator and MAD Magazine senior editor Joe Raiola will be appearing during the Tribute for the 33rd consecutive year as well.

The Tribute will be produced in association with Music Without Borders, with proceeds shared by Spirit Foundations, established by John Lennon and Yoko Ono as a foundation to support charities that address the problems of the aging, abused women and children and victims of terrorism and natural disasters.

The Theatre Within also recently launched the “Friends of the Annual John Lennon Tribute” campaign with a goal of endowing the Tribute for future years. Contributors of $35 or more will receive unique Lennon-themed thank you gifts, ranging from The 30th Annual John Lennon Tribute to a limited edition of the Double Fantasy Stripped Down CD signed by Yoko Ono and the album’s producer Jack Douglas.

Tickets for the Tribute are available online here or telephone at 212-864-5400 and at the Symphony Space Box Office, Tuesday-Sunday, 1pm-6pm.

Ticket prices are $65, $85 and $105. VIP packages are also available, some which include a pre-show champagne reception with Tribute artists and start at $150.
