Arcade Fire to Play Two Shows in Brooklyn

It appears as if Arcade Fire will play two shows at an undisclosed Brooklyn, NY venue this weekend, October 18 and 19. With their latest album Reflektor due out October 29, the concert poster advertising the shows lists a band under the same name. Most will remember “The Relfektors” as the name Arcade Fire assumed during their three Montreal shows last month. More details are expected to be announced soon.

In addition to the shows, the poster also mentions a dress code for the event. Fans must wear formal attire or a costume, with an award going to the person with the most creative costume.

UPDATE: Mysocialist.com is reporting an art space at 299 Meserole St. in East Williamsburg could be a potential site for these shows. A venue worker declined to confirm, but mentioned a “very large band” would be playing this weekend.

Did you even read the article that you linked to? This doesn’t look the same except for the photo and the fact that it has the same info

That’s fine, but doesn’t really explain why they are covered on this site…I mean, really, Arcade Fire? What’s next, Katy Perry?

Trey has cited arcade fire’s funeral as one of his favorite studio and live acts. Hardly katy perry. Music is original and haunting and has elements of more complex compositions that many jambands aspire to – maybe popularity should negate them from the conversation?
