Dave Matthews Band added two shows to their Australian tour this April. Following a date at West Coast Blues N Roots Festival (which also features John Mayer, Doobie Brothers and more) the band will play in Sydney at Sydney Entertainment Centre on April 15 as well as Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne on April 17. Gary Clark Jr will serve as the opener for both shows. Tickets for both shows go on-sale at October 16 at 10 A.M. via the Australian LiveNation website.

DMB’s Australian run wraps up with an appearance at Byron Bay Bluesfest in Byron Bay, AU. John Mayer, Erykah Badu, John Butler Trio and more are also scheduled to appear at Byron Bay Bluesfest. This will be the band’s first tour in Australia since 2007, where they played three shows before embarking on their North American Summer Tour.

Gary Clark Jr. and DMB have shared the stage before, with Clark opening up DMB’s recent show in Chula Vista, CA. The band invited the guitarist on stage for a rendition of “All Along the Watchtower” that also featured trombonist Lasim Richards.
