Dopapod announced today that their drummer Neal “Fro” Evans will not be playing with the band for the duration of their 2013 Fall tour. In a Facebook post, Dopapod cited Fro’s reason for leaving due to “personal issues.” Scotty Zwang, formerly of Sonic Spank will join Dopapod for the rest of the tour.

Dopapod plays the Iowa City Yacht Club in Iowa City, IA this evening.

Friends, family and Fans-

We want to inform you that Fro will not be playing with us for the rest of the fall tour. He has to go back to his home planet Froton and save it from destruction by the evil hair straightening race of the Flatironites. The amazing Scotty Zwang will take control of the drum command center for the Dopapod space ship through the rest of the fall. Please show him the same love and energy that you showed Fro!

But seriously, Fro has to handle some personal issues, so he will not be with us for the rest of the fall. We are excited to have our good friend Scotty Zwang join us on stage for the next few weeks.
He’s a fantastic drummer and has been blowing us away during rehearsals.

This is not permanent, and we look forward to having him back before the end of the year. We are sending Fro lots of love. There are a lot of exciting shows coming up and we can’t wait to see all of you!
