Twitter may soon be closing their Music App just six months after launching it. According to tech site AllThingsD, the app’s fate is nearly sealed as the company is currently in the midst of revamping its music department.

Debuting in April, Twitter Music reached as high as number 6 in the App Store rankings. The free music app then failed to perform, slipping quickly amongst users. In the restructuring of Twitter’s music team, the company hired former TopSpin Media SVP Bob Moczydlowsky last month.
