Blues Traveler and Strangefolk will play two co-headlining shows over Thanksgiving weekend at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY. The bands will perform at the venue on November 29 and 30, carrying on a Capitol Theatre Thanksgiving tradition that included four Phish shows in the early ’90s. Each band will play a full set, with Blues Traveler closing out both nights.

Blues Traveler are currently on tour in support of their 2012 release Suzie Cracks the Whip, while Strangefolk have played a few shows over the past year. It will be the first time that the two bands have performed together.

“Blues Traveler led the scene during the late ’80s and early ’90s, while Strangefolk took that baton from them during the late ’90s,” said Capitol Theatre proprietor (and Relix/Jambands.com publisher) Peter Shapiro. “It will be a lot of fun to bring these bands together for the first time, and The Capitol Theatre is the best place to do that.”

Tickets to the shows will go on sale at noon ET on October 5 via The Capitol Theatre’s website.
