R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck will headline and produce the third annual Todos Santos Music Festival, a seven day event in the southern Baja region of Mexico. The festival, which is set to take place January 16-18 and 22-25, will raise money for a number of local charities.

In addition to Buck, Todos Santos Music Festival will also feature performances by Ed Kowalczyk with The Minus 5, The Dream Syndicate, Drivin’ n Cryin’, Torreblanca, Twin Tones and Sonido Gallo Negro. There will also be local music showcase featuring some of the best up-and-coming talent from the Southern Baja area. Additional artists will be added to the lineup in the future, and there may be surprise guests.

The 2013 Todos Santos Music Festival raised nearly $70,000 for the Palapa Society. The money funded the organization’s relocation to a larger and greatly improved facility, 50% expansion of its after-school enrichment program, addition of adult English programs, and significant growth of a scholarship program enabling children to attend high school and college.

Tickets to the festival will go on sale November 1.
