Lotus took the stage at The Met in Morgantown, WV for their Halloween show last night. The event was billed as Lotus Presents: Lotus and the Funktastrophe – a Funkified Funkaween.

The performance—which was live audio-streamed via Phoncert—included a couple of debut covers during the first set, including renditions of Earth, Wind and Fire’s “Shining Star” and Thomas Dolby’s “Blinded Me With Science.” In a rare move, the latter song also featured percussionist Chuck Morris on vocals.

The second set also had some interesting moments. such as a take on Kanye West’s “Monster” that was sandwiched between a jammed out “Hammerstrike.” That set contained a raucous “Flower Sermon” to end the show.
