Moon Taxi to Make Television Debut on Letterman

Nashville rockers Moon Taxi will make their network television debut November 11 as they will take the late night stage on Late Show with David Letterman. The band is currently touring in support of their latest release Mountains Beaches Cities which served as the follow up to their wildly popular Cabaret.

Moon Taxi has amassed a solid fan base, growing through their live performances with notable sets at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and more. The band is currently on tour and will play a show tomorrow night at the Chop Shop in Charlotte, NC.

Damn. These guys have blown up since they were a college jam band. Completely different sound, but they have blown up. Seriously, they used to crush “YEM” just as good or better than Phish. I know that some people will call me out for blasphemy.

I agree with Colonel. Saw them probably 30-40 times in their younger stages. Completely different style, and not my type of sound, but…good for them. I thought they were making a mistake trying the indie mixed with computerized sound, but guess thats what America likes. The keys player can murder a solo.

Got tickets for the Letterman taping. I, too, used to see them back in the day when it was a little more jammy, but they have not abandoned that. It’s in their blood. I’ve seen them three times in the last year in NYC and every time they have absolutely crushed it.
