moe. announced today that the horn section from Conehead Buddha, a 90’s jamband, will share the stage with moe. during their New Year’s Eve show at the Palace Theatre in Albany, NY. Comprised of Shannon Lynch (saxophone), Shaun Bazylewicz (trombone) and Terry Lynch (trumpet), the horn section will back the band throughout their show. moe. also announced that Eastbound Jesus will open the show on December 30.

This horn section has previous experience sitting in with moe., as The Cornhead Buddha Horns also joined the band during their own festival—moe.down—this past August. The group added horns to the moe. live staple “Plane Crash.”

In other moe. news, the Buffalo jamband will revisit another aspect of the 90’s as the group is slated to headline Capitol Theatre’s Wetlands Preserve Anniversary Show scheduled for February 7 and 8. The band will be joined by Jimmy Herring’s latest project—The Ringers, as well as members of Strangefolk, God Street Wine and Deep Banana Blackout.
