Experience Hendrix Tour Confirms Dates

BRE Presents has announced tour dates for The Experience Hendrix 2014 Tour, which will pay tribute to the iconic work of the legendary Jimi Hendrix.

This year’s event will feature Billy Cox (Band of Gypsys and Jimi Hendrix Experience), Buddy Guy, Zakk Wylde, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Dweezil Zappa, Eric Johnson, Cesar Rosas and David Hidalgo (Los Lobos), Doyle Bramhall II, Chris Layton (Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble) and Eric Gales.

Originally conceived as the headlining attraction at Seattle’s Bumbershoot Arts & Music Festival in September 1995, the event has grown annually from the single-date Jimi Hendrix Electric Guitar Festival to a full-fledged tour, complete with tributes from Hendrix’s peers as well as those that he has continued to inspire over the years.

Because the West is a liberal wasteland like Detroit. No one with morals or brains wants to go out West anymore!!!

The money and the passion is in the East! East Coast Rocks!

F'd Up November 15, 2013, 17:32:03

WTF, What is w bands skipping the west coast?” So far not one major “jam band” tour in 2014 hitting the West Coast. Apparently Colorado run into the coast. And f’ing panic hasn’t plaid west of colorado in 3 1/2 years! Getting real sick of no West Coast tours.

Hey Steve Ex – you are spot on with that comment! Gary would be an outstanding addition!

Fred November 18, 2013, 08:31:20

No Denver! West Coast gets lots more than we do. Maybe this is only the first leg of the tour?

Oh please… it has nothing to do with politics. It’s just financially easier to tour 20 shows in the eastern US than it is out west. More concentrated population, & fewer miles to travel.

Don’t blame the band (or fight with eachother, which is totally stupid). Tour dates don’t happen without the local promoters. It is they who must step up to the plate to give the musicians the guarantees to show up in the first place.

Houston Texas please!

John Tinoco November 19, 2013, 16:40:50

I see St. LOUIS, what about KANSAS CITY?

Julie November 20, 2013, 15:22:36

This looks amazing but not one West Coast date! Hope to see additional dates added or even another leg of the tour created to include states west of the Mississippi…or Dallas, TX!

here's why November 21, 2013, 10:06:16

No West Coast dates because its cost prohibitive. The dates are in NY, NJ, CT, DC, and PA with a little midwestn (+ TX) thrown in. This travel has “tour bus” written all over it. No jets = no West.
