Zac Brown Band performed at San Jose’s SAP Center last night as the band continues its west coast swing. The band surprised the crowd when they invited Foo Fighters guitarist Dave Grohl on stage for a performance of Grohl’s original “Times Like These.” The performance was a debut for the band, and Grohl shared lead vocals with Zac Brown.

The ZBB/Grohl connection runs deep as of late, as the Foo Fighters front man is slated to produce ZBB’s forthcoming album. The duo also collaborated recently at the CMA’s on a new Zac Brown Band song, “Day For the Dead” which featured Grohl on drums.

Zac Brown Band was also joined by a familiar face last night, as Trombone Shorty sat in for the jammiest ZBB tune, “Who Knows.” Troy Andrews collaborated with the group on “Overnight,” a track off their latest record Uncaged. The cover-centric set also included Metallica’s “Enter Sandman,” John Mayer’s “Neon” (a ZBB staple), Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir” and the show closer, “Devil Went Down to Georgia.”

Zac Brown Band’s tour continues November 21 in Missoula, MT.
