Les Claypool’s Duo de Twang to Release Debut Album

Les Claypool’s Due de Twang will release their debut full-length on February 4. The album, titled Four Foot Shack, will be a mix of Claypool originals, two classic Primus cuts, a handful of traditional tunes and even some eclectic covers (Bee Gees, anyone?). The record will primarily consist of guitar and bass tracks, plus a one-off appearance from Claypool’s son on banjo.

The duo has released their twangy take on the Primus gem “Jerry Was a Racecar Driver” in anticipation of the album’s release.

Hey Relix and The Capitol Theatre!!!!!! You need to get Duo de Twang to play the Capitol soon. Make it happen. That’d be beyond killa!

‘Hendershot’ is actually a Les Claypool & the Holy Mackerel original, not FFFB. Band was Les, Herb, MIRV and others, debut/only album was (I think) 1996.
