Metallica announced the Metallica By Request tour for 2014, which will feature three shows where ticket purchasers will get to vote on the set list. Fans will get to choose 17 songs for each show. The band will pick one song of their own which will be a brand new song. Metallica is currently working on a new album and will use this opportunity to road test some songs.
The tour includes just three shows for now, a June 4 stop at Imtech Arena in Hamburg, GER as well as two festival stops in the days after. The voting process will take place at Metallica’s website.
