Railroad Earth celebrated the Thanksgiving weekend in Stroudsburg, PA with two shows at the Sherman Theater. The group debuted several songs throughout the run along with covering the 1975 self-titled, debut album from Jerry Garcia and David Grisman’s bluegrass project, Old and in the Way.

During the first night, the band took the time to debut “Grandfather Mountain,” a tune written by Todd Sheaffer. Another debut came late in the second set with “When the Sun Gets in Your Blood,” written by Andrew Altman and John Skehan. The final night of the run began with guitarist Peter Rowan helping out on the Old and in the Way cover which also included Yungchen Lhamo on vocals for “Land of the Navajo.”

Much like the first night, Railroad Earth debuted a few more songs in their second set, including another Sheaffer composition “Chasin’ a Rainbow“and “One More Night on the Road.” Peter Rowan also added guitar in the second set, sitting in on “The Cuckoo,” “Cold Rain and Snow” and “Walls of Time.”
