Charm City Folk & Bluegrass Festival Confirms 2014 Lineup

Charm City Folk and Bluegrass Festival will take place in Baltimore, MD’s Druid Hill Park on April 26, 2014. The initial lineup includes the likes of Grammy award-winning dobro virtuoso Jerry Douglas along with young mandolin player Sierra Hull, bluegrass guitarist Audie Blaylock and Redline as well as father-and-son duo Ken and Brad Kolodner. More artists are expected to be announced.

For each ticket sold, $2 will be donated to the Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens to support horticulture education programs. Early bird tickets are on sale now for $55 for general admission and $120 for VIP. The prices increase to $65 and $150 respectively by February 1.

A late night bluegrass jam after-party, a separate ticketed event, will be held at The 8×10 in Federal Hill after the event. More details on that show are expected to be announced soon. Additionally, a battle of the bands will also be held at The 8×10, with the winner earning an opening spot at the festival. Round one takes place January 17, round two on January 24 and the finals on March 7.
