Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor announced nearly a year ago that he was now involved with Daisy, a new streaming service being launched by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine’s joint venture Beats Electronics. In a statement issued today by CEO Ian Rodgers, the service is now scheduled to launch in January 2014.

Beats Music, currently in beta, is now accepting pre-registrations, allowing people to claim their username before the service launches.

Trent Reznor, who serves as the company’s Creative Chief, previously discussed Beats Music in an interview with The New Yorker. The frontman said the service “uses mathematics to offer suggestions to the listener… [but also] would present choices based partly on suggestions made by connoisseurs.” It’s “like having your own guy when you go into the record store, who knows what you like but can also point you down some paths you wouldn’t necessarily have encountered.”
