Phil Lesh and Friends took the stage for the first show of their four night run at Terrapin Crossroads last night. The latest incarnation of the group features a stellar lineup of Lesh with Warren Haynes, Jimmy Herring, John Molo, Neal Casal and Jeff Chimenti.

The show appeared to have a a few themes going, particular with regard to mountains. The group played a few songs tunes that referenced the rocky geographical feature—including “Mountains of the Moon,” “Mountain Jam,” “Mountain Song” and “Fire and the Mountain.” There were also a number of songs that dealt with night and day/light and darkness, such as Van Morrison’s “Into the Mystic,” Cream’s “Sunshine of You Love,” Jerry Garcia’s “Comes a Time,” Wilson Pickett’s “Midnight Hour,”“Just A Little Light,” “Morning Dew,” “Night of a Thousand Stars” and “I Know You Rider.”

Phil Lesh and Friend will return to Terrapin Crossroads tonight for the second show of their run. As previously reported, the upcoming shows will be webcast by the venue. In addition, a full video of last night’s first set can be viewed above.
