freebeerandchicken to Reunite for Albany Show

Cartoon by Chris Allison

freebeerandchicken will reunite for a show at Valentines in Albany, NY on Friday, December 20. It will be the first time that the Albany-based jamband—Chris Sullivan (guitar), Damain Ubriaco (guitar, vocals), Seth Rostan (sax, flute), Kirk Juhas (keys), Ken Juhas (bass) and Skaticus (drums)—have performed in 13 years.

The night’s bill will also include a set from Wreckloose. The two bands—who both have a history with Valentine’s—will celebrate the closing of the venue, which is moving to a new location on Albany’s Central Avenue at the beginning of next year. Doors will open at 8pm, and freebeerandchicken will take the stage at 11:30pm.

I believe it’s the brothers Juhas, not Jubas… these guys were pretty good back in the day… and Kurt sounded pretty good on keys when he’d sit in with moe.

Went to many great shows back in Oswego, NY in the early 90s. Too bad I’m overseas and will miss this one. Several members have carried on as Okemah and made a solid album.
