I hear ya Rick….it seems like nobody has ever heard of Grand Rapids either.

people dont really pay money to see these guys do they. My suggestion, buy dicks picks or download some shows, spark one and skip these guys. Its a ripoff and its not music.

Charles Brown: You sir, are crazy. DSO maybe a cover band, but they are the best cover band I dare to dream of. Not music? They are tight and bring it consistently. As someone else said, how much they tour is incredible. Have a feeling they love what they do.

Jeff Mattson rules. I used to stand 3 feet in front of him every Saturday night at the Right Track Inn in Freeport Long Island and would get a 3hr Jerry lesson for $7. Nicest dude you could ever meet too. He deserves whatever recognition he gets for keeping thousands of Heads movin, groovin and smile, smile , smilin’.

No, Rob Eaton rules. :) Twice I went from Toronto to New Jersey to see Rob with his old band, Border Legion, a great band that did IT. There are a lot of players at the feet of Jerry but nobody plays like Bob EXCEPT Rob Eaton. And now we’ll be having Border Legion’s bass player playing with DSO too. Life is good! Skip is super.

do you think john from furthur with rejoin the band in 2014? since furthur is on hiatus.
he has more star power now, and they would have him, AND headband from the Q.
if this happens, i think this band will get better.

I am not sure why there are so many haters. If you don’t want to see them, fine. I will tell you that I have been a fan of Jeff and Rob since the Volunteers days at Right Track Inn as someone mentioned previously. What is great about DSO is that they reproduce shows so well, sometimes even down to the banter in between. They really do bring it every night and whether you are a newbie or a head from way back, you can enjoy hanging with your friends like we used to at all the shows and let the four winds blow you safely home.
Can’t wait to groove on 12/30 (day before New Years shows were always better) at The Paramount in Huntington. Thanks to DSO for keeping us grooving…Happy New Year y’all (~);}
